Avery (nicknamed ‘Quiet Storm’) has extensive experience in public relations and is an award-winning publicist and certified event management consultant. She has worked with a wide range of clients, allowing her to hone her communication skills and build strong ties within the media and her field. She has a keen eye for seeing emerging trends and shaping newsworthy stories, making her an invaluable asset in assisting companies in realizing their full potential and connecting with their target audiences..

Before founding her consultancy in 2013, Avery began her career in event and film production. From working behind the camera at her home church to managing logistics for high-level engagements such as the Women’s March on Washington 2017, 4 Primetime Emmys Kennedy Center Honors and supporting presidential inaugurations, she gained experience by working on an array of award shows, commercials, and events.  

Avery’s career led her to partner with renowned entertainment agencies, including White Cherry Productions, One-Foot Productions, and Ardian Group, to name a few. Since beginning her career in event entertainment, she has worked with an esteemed clientele list and projects across multiple sectors, including non-profit, entertainment, government, leading lifestyle, consumer, and technology brands. She’s been an integral member of the PR teams for studio & production company clients like BET, MTV, and DreamWorks. In 2023 Avery had the esteemed pleasure of managing talent for the opening of the International African American Museum (IAAM) in Charleston, South Carolina. Avery has assisted with the management of award campaigns, publicity, promotional activities, and events for many high-profile celebrities. Her Film/TV and event productions background has allowed her to work on events such as the Summit of Americas (2022), U.S. Africa Leaders’ Summit (2022), Critics Choice Awards (2022), Presidential Inauguration (2021), Hispanic Heritage Awards (2018, 2019, 2023), NBA  Awards (2019), Helen Hayes Awards (2019), NBA All-stars (2019), DCPS Standing Ovation Awards (2019), Kennedy Center Honors (2009-present) BET Honors (2012-2013), YouTube Event, (2014), BET Experience and Awards (2015, 2016, 2019), BET Black Girls Rock (2018, 2019), and NBC Taking the Stage: Opening for National Museum of African African of History and Culture (NMAAHC) (2016).

In 2020 when the pandemic hit, Avery used her experience in digital to help support organizations' growth through virtual experiences. While managing all PR, marketing, and branding for her client's endeavors globally, she honed advanced pr & marketing acumen across the technology & digital sectors, deepening her skillset in the new & emerging media landscape. 

Avery currently works with creative talent, small business owners, and entrepreneurs across multiple facets and industries.

Avery holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event and Meeting Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business from Virginia Commonwealth University.
